Spooky Spiderweb Chocolate Bites

Spooky Spiderweb Chocolate Bites

By Josi Trotter

For the chocolate bites

  • 1 tin drained chickpeas
  • 1 ripe medium banana
  • 2 sachets chocolate Missfits Multitasker
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 50ml almond milk

For the topping

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate spread of choice
  • 1 tablespoon greek or coconut yoghurt

  1. In a processor, add the chickpeas, banana, almond butter and protein with a small amount of milk and combine – gradually add more milk until you have a thick brownie consistency (you may not need to use it all!)
  2. Pour this mixture into a lined loaf tin, flattening the top and place in the freezer for 2-3 hours
  3. Remove the chocolate base from the freezer, put the chocolate spread in the microwave for around 30 seconds just to loosen it up and make it easier to pour, then pour it over the top of the base and spread to form an even layer
  4. Put the yoghurt into a strong sandwich bag or piping bag and cut a very small hole in the bottom corner, as small as you can manage! Use it to pipe spirals of yoghurt in varying sizes over the chocolate spread layer, you can overlap them slightly if you like
  5. Use a cocktail stick to drag outwards from the centre of the spiral, roughly 6-8 times for each spiral to create the spiderweb effect
  6. Freeze the entire mix for an hour then remove from the freezer to cut into bites
  7. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge until you are ready to eat!
